Trusting the Body
I know we hear this phrase a lot during pregnancy and also for birth. And yes it sounds super nice and great and makes total sense, but the question is do YOU trust your body?
Here there can be a yes, no more or less, but if we want to go deeper and see the root of it, maybe you feel yes of course I trust it and believe in it, others no , my body betrayal by or we can have an unresolved trauma on us.
How do we know it and not in an intellectual way? Is to start to have a relationship with our body, a relationship that we are actually listening to or feeling. The body is an incredible system that really is willing to be heard because it does things to support us , to survive. To understand deeper we need to acknowledge that the body works in the realm of the Here & Now, present moment, yes it carries the memories and experience of the past but is in the Now where we can meet with it.
Why am I saying this? Because most of the time we relate with the mind and the mind has another time & space, the mind is in the past, future, imaginary realms and more. This both needs to meet in the Here and Now. when we start to acknowledge, when we stop to refusing or denying or even being totally unconscious we start to hear this messages of your body, maybe you feel them like intuition or guts, and we allow to hear and feel the different sensation of the body that maybe come with some emotion and we bring that to the awareness, how my body is feeling, what is in may body and bring that light, we start to create this beautiful communion with our body and we really start to trust the body.
We start creating this, with a commitment to ourselves. Putting the alarm clock during the day to bring this consciousness or to put it into our schedule but need to be a commitment with ourselves. You can bring this intention to your yoga practice or other type of exercise that you do, meditation.
